Two-year-old killed in crash

Police have confirmed that a two-year-old girl has died following a crash on the HB Expressway.

The crash occurred on the highway between Omahu Rd and Longlands Rd at 4.55pm on Wednesday.

Police said it appeared that a Nissan Primera rolled and landed in a roadside ditch.

Three people - an adult, a teenager and the two-year-old child - were in the car.

The two other people were in a stable condition in Hawke's Bay Hospital.
