A mother-of-two and horse enthusiast has died after a fall from a horse in North Canterbury.
Nicola Pellett, 47, died as a result of an accident on August 11.
Fairfax reported the death was as a result of a fall from a horse at North Canterbury's Mandeville sports grounds, near her Swannanoa home.
She has been remembered as a "dearly loved wife... and devoted mother" to two sons.
Another death notice said "I hope you are riding magnificent horses in the clouds above us."
"You were taken from us far too soon and will be deeply missed."
A funeral would be held this afternoon, Fairfax reported.
