A high-risk child sex offender is on the run up the North Island, police say.
Multiple arrest warrants have been issued for 47-year-old Darren Albert Jolly, who allegedly breached an extended supervision order which included 24/4 electronic monitoring.
Jolly has been missing since Wednesday, when he fled his Wellington address heading north.
Police believe he took a car from a Kapiti car dealership later that day.
Wellington police are appealing for any sightings of Jolly or the blue Honda Civic sedan, licence plate AYT134.
Anyone with information should contact Wellington police on (04) 381 2000 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
