The police armed offenders squad used flash-bang grenades to apprehend a man involved in a domestic incident in west Auckland last night.
Police northern communications spokesman Inspector Willie Taylor said police were called to a house on Semillon Ave about 9pm.
"It was a domestic incident that required an elevated
response from police due to threats made by a man at the address," he said.
The man was believed to have been armed.
"A series of flash-bangs were used during the course of the incident."
