Police in Wanganui are urgently seeking information of the whereabouts of a suspect, following a shooting incident in Aramoho earlier today.
Police initially attended a firearms incident in Hylton Street where a gun had been fired on several occasions.
As a result a person received a minor gunshot wound.
The injury was not life threatening.
Police say they need to know where Dolphy Tetawhero Kohu is.
He is described as Maori, aged 20 years, and 185 cm tall.
Kohu has dark hair with shoulder-length dreadlocks.
He is possibly wearing rugby league shorts.
Although police believe this incident is isolated, they describe Kohu as armed and dangerous and say he should not be approached by members of the public.
Police say they have made extensive enquiries in the search for Kohu, and need public help to find him.
They believe he could be in the Wanganui or Ruapehu area.
