One person was stabbed and two knocked out during a spate of violence in Newmarket late last night. Keith Hall from St Johns said all three were taken to hospital by ambulance.
Matt Rogers of the Auckland police said there were many "pockets of fighting and disorder" in the area around Newmarket railway station, as large crowds walked through on their way home from Christmas in the Park.
