A former Iraqi soldier charged with murdering his wife was further remanded when he appeared in Wellington District Court today.
Najeeb Dawood, 51, who stood still and silent in the dock, was returned to the secure psychiatric unit where he has been detained since early last month.
Judge Michael Turner ordered a second report from a health assessor and adjourned all matters until December 2.
Dawood has not pleaded to the murder charge or to other counts including threatening to kill or cause grievous bodily harm, assault with and possession of a weapon and assault on a child.
His wife, Eman Jani Hurmiz, 41, died of stab wounds outside the couple's Strathmore home on September 2.
