The number of jobs paying more than $100,000 is on the rise, according to data from Seek New Zealand.
Six-figure positions listed on the website have increased by 30 per cent in the past year, creating the need for a dedicated $100k+ section that was launched today (Monday).
"The "significant" growth of high-paying jobs was spread across a range of industries, with IT and technology, engineering, accounting, sales and healthcare and medical making up the top five.
Technology and IT had the highest number of roles advertised with a salary of $100,000 or more, said Seek general manager Janet Faulding.
Auckland has the biggest proportion of high salary roles, 58 per cent of the total, - more than double any other region.
In Canterbury the number of higher paying jobs has risen 125 per cent since August last year, which reflected the strong demand for skilled workers in the region.
Wellington's number of top paying jobs grew 16 per cent but of those, roles in Government and Defence grew by 98 per cent.
