Police are investigating an attack in Nelson which saw a teenager slashed with a knife.
The attack was in the Richmond Mall this afternoon.
Acting senior sergeant Blair Hall says a 22-year-old male pulled a knife on an 18-year-old and cut his face and arm.
He says the two men
did not know each other and it was unprovoked.
Acting Senior Sergeant Hall says the 18-year-old is extremely lucky to have escaped without serious injury.
