Armed robbers wearing ski-masks held up an Armourguard van at gunpoint on Auckland's North Shore this morning.

Police said two men held up the van on Constellation Drive at about 11am.

Both offenders were wearing ski masks and one was armed with a firearm.

They fled the scene in a stolen car.

The vehicle was abandoned in a nearby street, where it believed the offenders got into another vehicle and left the area.

It is unknown if anything was taken or whether anyone else was involved.

Police are continuing enquiries.
