New Zealanders are being urged to take part in a "super haka" to send a message of strength and support to people in quake-devastated Christchurch.
The haka will run simultaneously for two minutes in the four main centres - Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin - at 12.30pm on May 19.
Anyone overseas or unable to attend the events can still perform their own breakaway haka.
The super haka, organised by Ngai Tahu and transport company Super Shuttle, is to act as a rallying call for people in Canterbury as they rebuild.
Anyone interested can register online at www.superhaka.com.
Donations will be collected at the events and given to the Christchurch recovery fund.
