Whale Oil Blogger Cameron Slater has been found guilty on eight breaches of suppression orders and one of identifying a victim.
Slater was found guilty by Judge David Harvey in the Auckland District Court today. He was cleared of one other alleged suppression breach.
At an earlier hearing today, Slater's lawyer argued his client had no case to answer as suppression laws only referred to direct reports of court proceedings - not discussions on blogs.
But a district court judge ruled there was a case to answer.
