Two elderly people, a man and a woman, are missing from their homes in separate areas of South Auckland.
An 82-year-old woman disappeared from Papakura about 7am today. Police said she had dementia, spoke with a German accent and had a habit of hiding due to paranoia. She was Caucasian, about 1.62m tall with short blond hair and medium build. She wore glasses, a purple top and lilac trousers and carried a small brown bag.
The man was an 83-year-old Indian man who had been missing since midday yesterday from the Mangere area.
Police said it was not known what he was wearing. He was 1.77m tall, medium build, with grey/black hair. He has diabetes and has difficulty walking.
