A fraudster on the run for nine months after being recalled to prison has been caught and will appear in the Hamilton District Court today.
Paul Croot was arrested at an Auckland house on Friday night, with two other fugitives.
Police had established Croot was moving between Feilding and Auckland, sometimes staying on yachts, other times in motels, and often visiting casinos in Auckland and Hamilton, he said.
Anyone who had been duped by Croot during his time on the run should contact the Hamilton police, Mr Chivers said.
