A New Zealander has died in San Francisco after being hit by a motorcyclist, according to police.
NBC has named the man as William Tims, 60, a resident of Hastings. He was one of two pedestrians hit at 4.08pm local time on the corner of Stockton and Geary Streets.
Thesecond pedestrian, a 53-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police said a 32-year-old man was riding a Harley Davidson that struck the pair.
