New course record at Riversdale

Geoff Brewer of Masterton set a new course record of 56 when a stroke competition was played by members of the Riversdale Beach Golf Club on Saturday.
He took full advantage of the excellent condition of the course which will be the venue of the men's open championship in a fortnight's time.
It was a day for the Brewers with Jill Brewer having the best nett score amongst the women.

Women nett:Jill Brewer 55, Deb Taylor 59.
Men nett:: Geoff Brewer 52, Matt Barbour 59
