September was business as usual for Toyota, again topping new vehicle registrations.
New car registrations totalled 7077 in September, up 4.1 per cent from the previous month but down 4.7 per cent from a year earlier, Land Transport New Zealand said today.
Used car registrations - generally imported used cars - totalled 9311 last month, 4.1 per cent ahead
of a year ago, the government agency said in a statement.
New commercial vehicle registrations during the month were 1978, down from the 2087 recorded a month earlier, but up 7.5 per cent on September 2006.
The top selling make for the month was Toyota with 1521 new cars, followed by Ford with 977 new cars.
