A naked man being hunted by Nelson police for performing an indecent act last week may have attended a touch rugby game in the town.
He is wanted after a student was approached by a naked man who carried out a lewd act at the Railway Reserve in Stoke. He
was also spotted in other parks in the area.
It is now believed he may have been a spectator at a touch rugby game at Tahunanui on December 4, police said.
Officers are appealing for anyone who attended the rugby fields that day, and who took any photographs or videos of activities on field two, to come forward.
"Police are hopeful that someone may have inadvertently captured an image with the person of interest in the background," Detective Sergeant Ian Langridge said.
