Nelson expects millions for forestry sale

Nelson City Council expects to receive at least $4 million for the sale of forestry cutting rights.

The proposed sale, which is yet to be confirmed by the council, has been estimated to be worth $4.37 million.

The council decided last year that it would consider selling cutting rights to about 700ha of forest in the Brook, Roding, Marsden and Maitai areas.
