Neighbourhood spat turns violent, AOS called out

The Armed Offenders Squad (AOS) was called out in Kaikohe, Northland, last night when a dispute between neighbours turned violent.

Police said they were called about 10.50pm to a corner where two houses backed onto each other.

The occupants of one house had smashed the windows of the other with golf clubs and police were told one window had been shot out, although no gun has been found.

The street was cordoned off and Whangarei AOS called.

Police said two people were assisting with their inquiries.
