Navy member accused of ill-treatment

A member of the New Zealand navy is face to face a court-martial charged with "ill-treating a person of lower rank".

The Court-Martial of New Zealand will sit at 9am on December 6 at the Palmer Building, HMNZS Philomel in Devonport.

The Defence Force said it would not release any further information relating to the charge - or the ranks and names of the personnel involved - as the evidence relating to the charge is sub judice.
