National List MP Dr Jackie Blue has been appointed the Equal Employment Opportunities Commissioner.
Dr Blue, 56, will leave Parliament and start her role in June, making room for another National list MP to enter Parliament.
Former MP Paul Quinn, 56th on the list, would be elevated to Parliament.

Blue entered Parliament in 2005. She has held various roles, including being a member of the health select committee from 2005 to 2008.
