A gas explosion in a van has left two lucky people with only minor injuries.
Emergency services were called to a campsite at Docherty Creek, 7km south of Franz Josef, West Coast, about 7.45pm yesterday, after reports of an explosion.
Two people with minor injuries were treated by StJohn paramedics.
One fire engine from Franz Josef attended, and isolated an LPG tank, said fire service spokesman Andrew Norris.
