Myers home sold for $10.8m

A consortium of five people has paid $10.8 million for Doug Myers' Remuera house and two neighbouring properties.

The former Lion Nathan chairman's Victoria Ave house and the other properties changed hands early last month, but the transfer of legal titles has just gone through Land Information New Zealand.

The titles show the new owners of the properties as Zhen Wei Li, Zhiwen Xu, Haiping Shi, Jianqiang Hu and Haoyun Jiang.

Mr Myers, 63, whose fortune is estimated at $570 million, set up home in London last year.

Merchant banker David Richwhite's house in Remuera Rd sold for $8 million in 1997 and in 2000 another Remuera property, at 139 Arney Rd, sold for $6.75 million.
