Left abandoned and chained up, Denver was alone and without food and only dirty water to drink.
She was found by a SPCA inspector severely malnourished and scared, it is unknown how long she had been there.
It took three months for Denver to recover fully at the Auckland SPCA,building up the weight and confidence she needed to flourish.
Denver had not been looking for a home long when her new mother Lisa discovered her online. Visiting Denver in person, Lisa Thompson knew it was meant to be.
"She is still a bit amazed she can stroll over for pats whenever she likes, even leaving breakfast in favour of cuddles."
Thompson also said it would have not been possible without the amazing care the SPCA offered Denver.
"Thank you sop much for taking such good care of her and for giving her a chance to show her true colours. We are so happy to have her apart of the family."
