Save A murder trial at the High Court in Rotorua was brought to a sudden halt yesterday after a water pipe burst flooding the courtroom.
The burst pipe leaked water into courtroom one where five Mongrel Mob members were on trial for murdering a 17-year-old youth during a gang brawl.
The
courtroom was hurriedly evacuated and the hearing was abandoned for the rest of the day.
Rotorua firefighters were called to deal with the burst.
