Murder trial aborted

A murder trial was aborted yesterday and a new one ordered for Solofa Aiono, 34, who is accused of killing Sanele Sanato at his South Auckland home on February 25, 2008.

The trial had been into its second week in the High Court at Auckland when Justice John Priestley discharged the jury.

The judge suppressed his reasons for the trial ending and remanded Aiono in custody.
