Three gang members appeared in New Plymouth District Court today charged with the weekend murder of Peri Niwa.
Rick Brown, 38, and Matiu Joseph Paaora Pahau, 21, entered no pleas when they appeared before Judge Allan Roberts.
The third accused, who also appeared, has been granted interim name
suppression.
The three gave the Black Power salute as they appeared in court.
They were remanded in custody until December 4.
Mr Niwa's body was found at an address off New Plymouth's main street shortly after midnight on Saturday with a chest wound.
