Mark Wilson has been appointed president of AIA in Hong Kong. AIA has business operations throughout Asia and the Pacific and is a subsidiary of AIG - the world's largest insurance company. Mark is a Kiwi who grew up in Rotorua and started his professional career with National Mutual in Wellington.

Fairfax Media has appointed Chris Coomer as the commercial manager of the Independent Financial Review newspaper. Coomer is moving into the role after 2 1/2 years as an account manager at Fairfax Media's Ad Network, which services the media group's agency clients throughout New Zealand.

Braincell Creative is has appointed Angela Beatson in her new role as senior account manager. Beatson has had over nine years in the advertising and creative media sector.

Louise Black joins Madison as a key member of the executive team specialising in the recruitment of HR professionals. Black comes to Madison from a large international recruitment company supporting a key account.

Executive recruiters 6 Degrees Consulting Group have appointed Chris McKinney, Neville Aitchison and David Birchall as directors of the New Zealand and Australian recruitment practice and Amanda Humphreys as senior consultant in the Auckland sales and marketing practice.

Peter Rickerby has been appointed general manager of Gunnersens NZ. Peter was previously a Business Manager with Mitre 10.

Janelle Coombridge has been appointed full time trainer in the northern region as part of The Harcourts Academy. Ms Coombridge was most recently employed by Massey University.
