The new Royal & SunAlliance liability insurance team will be led by managing director Adrian Tulloch. Key underwriting appointments include Ben Weymouth and Lance Beard, who take up positions as deputy managing director and underwriting manager respectively. The claims side will be managed by Stuart Flyger, with criminal lawyer, Paul Fisher, delivering additional expertise. Peter Brown will act as actuary.

Denise Deegan has been appointed national human resources manager for law firm Simpson Grierson. Trained in teaching and HR, she was with Bluebird Foods, Fisher & Paykel, and more recently, Fletcher Residential.

Sovereign Assurance's Scott Black has been appointed general manager channel development. He has more than 20 years' experience in the insurance industry, with an emphasis on sales and marketing.
