Psychometric researcher Paul Barrett has joined HR solutions company Mariner7, joining from the UK to complete the development of the web-based recruitment tool Talent Engine. He has been chief scientist of forensic clinical psychology at two of the UK's high-security forensic psychiatric hospitals.

Jeremy Silva has taken the newly-established position of chief executive of both Donaghys Industries and Donaghys Sarlon, companies whose brands include Fairdown and The Great Outdoors. Bryan Sharp continues in the position of general manager Donaghys Industries. Andrew Howell is to transfer from his position of textiles product and export development manager in Christchurch to further develop market opportunities for environmental textiles and baler twine in Dallas, Texas.

Lachlan Muldowney has been named a new partner in Hamilton law firm Tompkins Wake. At 30, he is one of the youngest partners in the firm's 70-year history. A graduate of Otago University in 1995 with degrees in law and arts, he joined the firm's litigation team two years ago.
