Professor Ingrid Winship has been recognised with the new chair in clinical genetics at the University of Auckland. She is associate dean (research) of the faculty of medical and health sciences.

Simpson Grierson partner Peter Stubbs is the new deputy chair of the New Zealand Tourism Board. Stubbs has been a board member since 1999.

Campbell Benton is the new supply chain applications consultant for software company J. D. Edwards. Benton was previously supply chain process manager at Winstone Wallboards.

Steve Macmillan is the managing director of new software company DecisionMax. He is an experienced IT consultant. Jane McKenzie is head consultant, and was last with IBM. Robyn Oakley is business development manager. She was with Acer Computer Australia.

Larissa Lukas joins the Auckland office of Executive Appointments as a senior associate. Formerly a solicitor with Simpson Grierson, she has worked in search, selection and human resources since 1992.

Cathi Roberts becomes retail business development manager for the New Zealand office of electronics company Toshiba (Australia). She has been with the company for eight years. Callum Eade (pictured) is the new channel business development manager, northern region. He was with Tech Pacific as a channel manager.

Greg Colby is one of six new appointments at newly restructured stainless steel company NZF Stainless. He is the new fastenings sales manager, and was last with EDL Fasteners. Tui Savage is regional sales manager for Auckland, Northland and Waikato, and was last with HJ Asmuss as sales manager. Chris Green is sales engineer for Waikato, and comes from Sandvik. Gary Ward is branch supervisor, Hamilton. He was previously a sales representative. David Page has been promoted to Auckland branch supervisor; his previous roles were in logistics and customer services. Ray Koni has become a sales representative based in Auckland. He was last the company's customer services team leader.

Stuart McNeil becomes paper merchant BJ Ball Papers' manager, northern region. He is currently manager of the reel paper division. Nathan Pene has been appointed manager central region, based in Wellington. He joined the company in 1994 as a customer services representative.

Property and construction senior solicitor Wei Ling Lim is one of three new principals at law firm Chapman Tripp. Joining her is resource management and environmental lawyer Vernon Rive and public and regulatory law lawyer Andy Nicholls.

Charlie Wood is the new technical solutions specialist, Microsoft Business Solutions New Zealand. He was last senior infrastructure consultant at Microsoft New Zealand.

American Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand president Michael Stanley was reappointed at the chamber's annual general meeting, along with current directors Andrew Au, chief executive of Citigroup; Alister Brown, managing director, Merck Sharp and Dohme (NZ); Ken Eagle, MD, The Cambridge Group; Brian Lynch, executive director, Meat Industry Association; Eric Mahoney, director, Porterville Ventures; Jonathan Mason, chief financial officer, Carter Holt Harvey; Denham Shale, company director; and Mike Hearn, executive director, American Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand.

Joining the board are Laurie Altman, MD, 3M NZ; Tim Goodacre, CEO, ZESPRI International; Professor Judith Kinnear, vice-chancellor, Massey University; and Richard Matheson, MD Ford Motor Company of New Zealand.

Andrew Baker has been appointed operations manager for Kelly Tarlton's Antarctic Encounter & Underwater World. He is currently assistant business unit leader for the Carter Holt Harvey pulp mill at Whakatane.
