After three years as deputy chairman of the Commerce Commission, Mark Berry has joined barristers and solicitors Chapman Tripp, specialising in competition law.

David Drage is the new ANZ chief economist. Drage, aged 31, has been with ANZ since December 1992, most recently in the role of Treasury economist and since August 1998 as deputy to the chief economist.

KPMG has new partners: Jeremy Bendall (Wellington), Bruce Loader (Christchurch) and Tony McNaught (Auckland).

Bendall is a specialist in enterprise risk management and corporate governance. Loader is a specialist in the provision of assurance services.

McNaught is a specialist in mergers, acquisitions, valuations and general corporate advisory assignments.
