Sean McDonald has been appointed general manager of UnitedNetworks.

He comes from Unisys, where he was general manager ASP services.

Tim Rogerson is the new chief executive officer of the Life Education Trust.

Angus Fletcher has been appointed to the trust's board.

Mike Eberlin has been appointed general manager of the cement division of Milburn New Zealand.

Paul Commons has been appointed general manager of concrete and will continue to manage Milburn's e-commerce activities.

John Sinclair is the new president of the Institute of Architects. He is a director of the Auckland firm Architectus.

Mr Sinclair wants to see the institute take a lead in working with other industry groups in developing national policies to affect the country's built environment positively.
