Lawyer Anoushka Matthews has been appointed to the newly-created legal recruitment division of Hays Personnel Services. Her last job was also in legal recruitment.

Steve McMurdo has been appointed senior technical specialist for IT services company Hosting & Datacentre Services. He was last Unix technical team leader at EDS. Olin Signal has been appointed technical specialist. He was previously IT network manager at lines company UnitedNetworks.

Nicholas Birch is a new private shareholder and director of IT consultancy Koorb Consulting. He has spent more than 15 years as partner and more recently a managing director with BearingPoint, formerly KPMG Consulting.

Scott Kuegler has joined Elan IT Recruitment, a division of Manpower, as New Zealand manager. Most recently, he held a European corporate directorship with the TMP Global Group.

Michael Scriven is the new chair in evaluation in the University of Auckland's school of education. He was last professor of psychology at Claremont Graduate University in California.
