The new head of DaimlerChrysler commercial vehicles is Ian Walker from Britain. Walker becomes general manager sales operations for all commercial vehicle operations at DaimlerChrysler NZ.

client executive, based in Wellington. Gibbs has more than 20 years' experience in the IT industry and has been with PeopleSoft since 2000. The company has appointed Maureen O'Sullivan as its global services client executive based in Auckland. Debbie Graham & Associates has appointed Jo-Anne Baines and Craig Offwood to their Auckland-based consulting team. Baines specialises in recruiting for the accounting, legal, financial services and insurance industries and Offwood has more than 10 years' experience in investment banking, funds management and financial-services sectors.

Brett Williams has been appointed director, learning and assessment, at the Institution of Professional Engineers. Williams had previously been involved in accreditation and quality assurance of educational programmes at the Qualifications Authority.
