Mount track to reopen after floods

The base track around Mt Maunganui, which was damaged by flooding, could reopen in the next few weeks.

Work was temporarily halted yesterday when a loader rolled 4m down a bank. The driver was not hurt and returned to work in the afternoon.

Other tracks around the Mount are expected to reopen towards the end of next month.
