Motorists told to steer clear of Northwestern Motorway after rush hour breakdown

Motorists heading north are being asked to not use the Northwestern Motorway after a rush-hour breakdown left long queues.
The left lane is blocked after Royal Rd and roading authorities say a towtruck is now needed. Meanwhile, traffic is building.
They advise drivers to take an alternative route and avoid
the congested motorway.
An earlier crash on Auckland's Southern Motorway caused delays this morning.
