Motorist killed in crash near Ashburton named

Save An elderly motorist killed in a crash in Ashburton has been named as local man Graeme Mervyn Carr, aged 68.
Mr Carr was the sole occupant of a van that crashed at Maronan, near Ashburton, about 2pm on Friday.
Ashburton Police say initial enquiries indicate the van lost control and
rolled on the shingle road, in windy conditions.
Inquiries into the cause are continuing.
