Motorist dies after car rolls in Waipa Valley

A motorist has died after the car they were driving rolled in the Waipa Valley last night.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, sustained fatal injuries in the crash, which took place on the Mangaokewa Road shortly after 10.30pm.

The person died at the scene, police said.

The police serious crash unit are investigating.
