A Wellington man has admitted punching an American cyclist, in an incident in the city last month.
Jamie Curtis Pene, 39, of Newtown, pleaded guilty when he appeared before Judge David McKegg in Wellington District Court this morning.
Pene, representing himself, made menacing faces at a photographer, while the court was told of the events of January 10.
American tourists Russ Roca and Laura Crawford were cycling in Newtown when Pene swerved in of them in his car at the intersection of Riddiford and Main streets, the court was told.
