A man is in a stable condition in hospital after crashing his motorised parachute in Tuakau yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the crash about 10.15am after his powered parachute crashed.
Witnesses at the scene are said to have seen him take off, then fall heavily from a height of
about 10 metres.
He is then said to have turned on descent and hit a bollard.
He was taken to Middlemore Hospital with critical injuries. A hospital spokeswoman today said he was in a stable condition in the intensive care unit.
