A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after crashing into a house in Mount Roskill, Auckland this afternoon.

The motorcyclist has been critically injured.

Police were called to the incident on Penny Ave around 2.30pm, a spokesperson told the Herald.

The serious crash unit is in attendance and the road will be closed for some time.
