Motorcyclist killed in New Plymouth crash named

Police have released the name of the motorcyclist killed after a crash in New Plymouth on Friday night.

He was 51 year old Cornelius Van Der Watt of New Plymouth.

Mr Van Der Watt died after losing control of his motorcycle on Centennial Dr, about 9pm.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the crash.
