A motorcyclist has died following a serious crash involving a car and a motorcycle in Sockburn, Christchurch last night.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Peer St and Yaldhurst Rd at 10.06pm.
Police said the rider of the motorbike, a man aged 43, died later in hospital.

Crash Unit have investigated the scene and inquiries are ongoing.
The name will be released when all next of kin have been advised.
