Motorcyclist killed in crash named

A motorcyclist killed in a crash near Ashburton yesterday has been named.

Wayne McEvedy, 36, died after after apparently losing control of his machine on a bend on State Highway 77 in Winchmore, 11km northwest of Ashburton, about 6am yesterday.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
