Motorcyclist killed in crash in Tokoroa

A motorcyclist is dead after a crash in Tokoroa this afternoon.

The crash between a motorbike and car happened at 3.05pm at the intersection of Pateke Place and Kereru St.

Police said the motorcyclist was seriously injured in the collision and died a short time later.

The road is closed while police examine the scene.

Diversions are in place.
