Motorcyclist killed after colliding with truck in South Auckland

A motorcyclist has died after a collision with a truck in South Auckland overnight.

Police say the accident happened just after midnight in Mangere East near the intersection of Savill Drive and Massey Road.

A spokesman said the male rider collided with a truck turning into a driveway.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, died at the scene.

The Serious Crash Unit have completed a scene examination and the road was now reopened to traffic.
