Motorcyclist in serious condition after Wairarapa crash

Save A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car on the Rimutaka Hill near Wellington this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene on State Highway 2 on the Featherston side of the hill shortly after 1pm.
The motorist, a Wellington woman in her 40s, was seriously
injured and airlifted by Life Flight Trust rescue helicopter to Wellington Hospital.
Police said all but one lane was closed on the road, but the road would be cleared at some stage this afternoon.
