Motorcyclist critically injured in serious crash near Warkworth

Police say a motorcyclist was critically injured in a crash this morning near Warkworth, north of Auckland.

The crash on Kaipara Flats Rd was reported just before 6am.

“The motorcyclist has been transported to hospital in a critical condition,” police spokespeople said.

Kaipara Flats Rd was closed while the Serious Crash Unit investigated.

Diversions were in place.

Police advised motorists to expect delays or avoid the area if possible.
